The Town of Blackfalds is located 14 kms North of Red Deer on either Highway 2A or East of Hwy 2. This town has a population of 11,530 as of Febuary 2022. There are many fast food outlets and several restaurants to choose from. Several schools are available: St George the Great, Iron Ridge Elementary, Iron Ridge Intermediate Campus and Little Star Playschool. A new high school will be built and should be ready for the 2024 school year. This town has many parks ( Bark Park off leash, Tutty Pond Park, All Star Park, Blackfalds Skate Park, Tayes Water Spray Park, and Rolling Hills Park ) .
