The Town of Sylvan Lake is a vibrant lakeside community located West of Red Deer on Hwy 11. Sylvan Lake has a population of 15,000 people. It is a young community as 54% of its population is under the age of 35. From June to the end of August this town experiences its highest number of tourists. From March to the end of May is the 2nd busiest time in this town for tourism. There are many restaurants along Lakeshore Drive and places to shop. There are 5 public schools from Pre-K to Grade 12 and 2 Catholic schools from Pre-K to Grade 9.
